About George R. Barbour PE |
George is a lifelong resident of North Carolina and currently resides in Wilmington. He and his wife, Tammy have three sons: Chris, David, and Jimmy. Chris, a 2004 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the College of Management at NC State University, is now living in Raleigh with his wife, Katie, and is a third year law student at UNC Chapel Hill. David is currently a senior at NC State University, majoring in engineering. Jimmy is a 2008 graduate of Laney High School in Wilmington and is attending Wake Technical Community College. George and Tammy welcomed the birth of their first grandchild, Jacob George Barbour, in 2009. George's favorite pastime is riding his motorcycles. He rides both off road and road bikes. He currently races in the North Carolina Hare Scramble Association. In addition, George enjoys watching AMA racing and NASCAR. George also enjoys boating and camping with his family in the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia.
